Chris Devenski is one of the most popular and richest Baseball Player who was born on November 13, 1990 in Long Beach, United States. Devenski is commonly referred to by Astros fans under the nickname “Devo” after the progressive rock group of the 1980s.
Devenski started the 2013 campaign as a pitcher for The Lancaster JetHawks of the Class A-Advanced League of California. He was not a fan of Lancaster and pitched to an 7.88 ERA in 75 /3 innings pitched. He was moved from the Quad Cities River Bandits of the Class A Midwest League. Devenski started his year 2014 with Lancaster and received a midseason promotion. This time, it was with the Corpus Christi Hooks of the Class AA Texas League. Devenski made his debut in the professional ranks as a member of the Great Falls Voyagers of the Rookie-level Pioneer League. The 2012 season began by playing with the Kannapolis Intimidators from the class A South Atlantic League before being transferred with the Houston Astros in August as the player who would be named following the previous trade, in which The White Sox acquired Brett Myers. The Astros already had Blair Walters and Matt Heidenreich as part of the deal. He was a 6-3-5 loss record and an 4.23 earned run rate (ERA) over 19 appearances played with Kannapolis prior to the trade. Christopher Michael Devenski (born November 13 in 1990) is also known as Devo is an American professional baseball player with the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball (MLB). Prior to making the move to professional baseball, Devenski played college baseball for Golden West College and California State University, Fullerton. It was the Chicago White Sox selected Devenski in the 25th spot, as the 771st selection overall in 2011. Major League Baseball draft. Devenski was a student at Gahr High School located in Cerritos, California. He played on the school’s baseball team , both shortstop and pitcher. In 2008, he graduated and then enrolled at Golden West College, where the team played during his freshman year as a shortstop and a pitcher. Devenski moved into California State University, Fullerton and continued his baseball career at the college level as a member of the Cal State Fullerton Titans. The Titans coaches persuaded him to concentrate on pitching and he was able to pitch 182/3 innings in 104 games over two seasons with the team. He also played in the summer of collegiate baseball with the Woodstock River Bandits of the Valley Baseball League in 2011.
The Astros assigned Devenski to Fresno for Opening Day of the 2016 season, but promoted him to the major leagues on April 6. He made his MLB debut on April 8. He finished the 2016 season with a 2.16 ERA and 0.914 walks plus hits per inning pitched ratio in 48 appearances.
